The vision of Thorpe Dance York is to create a village feel within the heart of the city.

Our dance classes aim to develop the whole self; building confidence, self-discipline, motor skills, musicality, perseverance and self-expression. Class sizes are capped to small numbers, giving every child the attention they deserve to achieve their goals and develop a true love of dance.

Thorpe Dance York is non-competitive and inclusive; all are welcome, and all pupils will receive the same quality of dance education for the same affordable fee prices.

Using the bbodance syllabus, our ballet classes build strong foundations in dance technique, culminating in positive, rewarding, OFQUAL-accredited exams before progressing to the next level. Accessibility is at the heart of the bbodance ethos, which is a value shared with Thorpe Dance York.​​​​
